Now that you have HCG drops it’s time to load up! For 48 hours eat anything and everything you want, go CRAZY. Take the drops as instructed and have fun. The load up is important otherwise around day five you will get very hungry. Also this is a complete shock to the body and will jump start a reaction.
In the meantime it’s time to get serious about your meal plan. One of the best lessons I learned from this diet was proportion. I was eating way too much protein. For consistency weigh your protein BEFORE cooking. The correct proportion is only 4 ounces, yep that’s it! After completing the diet I have carried over this lesson into every day eating. Buy a digital scale from Target and use it to weigh all your meats.
What you will need before starting HCG diet...
- A small digital scale to weigh your meats.
- A George Foreman grill or toaster oven to grill meats.
- A digital scale to weight yourself.
- Magic Bullet Blender for blend protein shades. I use my Cuisinart stick blender.
- High quality protein powder
- Coconut Oil (MCT Oil) for cooking and moisturizing instead of lotion.
It’s important not to over eat even healthy foods
You will be preparing all your meals, make it easier on yourself with a George Foreman Grill or toaster oven. You won’t want to heat up an entire oven for a 4 oz piece of fish. A personal sized grill/oven will save energy and speed up cooking time.
Use your fist as a measuring guide. A piece of fruit or even a veggie should be no larger than one’s fist.
Don’t forget to take HCG drops 30 minutes before eating. Take the drops when you start to prepare your meal. At the office I get busy and forget to take the drops on time so now I set a reminder in my calendar to take before lunch.
Get a good high quality protein powder. Always keep protein powder along with frozen strawberries and blueberries on hand. A bullet blender makes great shakes and is easy to clean.
If you get hungry between meals have a shake. The best powder I have found is by Gold Standard strawberry, buy it on Amazon. I have found that other brands cause my sensitive skin to break out. I suggest stocking chocolate flavor as well to satisfy a sweet tooth.
It's is essential that you eat two servings of fruit per day, have an apple and strawberries at a minimum. Take a snapshot of the HCG General Food List and carry it with you.
